Tiffany Style Lamps

The history of the Tiffany lamp begins around 1895 when Louis Comfort Tiffany designed the first handcrafted cut art glass lamp. The lamp caught the world’s notice and today cut art glass lamps are referred to as Tiffany lamps. Quoizel has been creating and recreating beautiful lighting for over 75 years. Some are reproductions of original Louis Comfort Tiffany designs, others Quoizel’s own unique creations. All are timeless handcrafted pieces of art glass.

Tiffany Studios Women’s Glass Cutting Department

Clara Driscoll was head of the Tiffany Studios Women’s Glass Cutting Department. Working independently and with Louis Comfort Tiffany she and her female staff, known collectively as the Tiffany Girls, created many of the iconic Tiffany designs, including the Tiffany dragonfly lamp that won a prize at the 1900 World’s Fair held in Paris, France. Today, Clara Driscoll is also credited with the lamp designs of the Poppy and Wisteria.
