Traditions Home began with an idea - to offer handcrafted furniture that reflect the values of American workmanship. Since 1984, Traditions Home has offered the finest in both Shaker and New England Cottage furniture made by Amish, Mennonite and other traditional craftsmen. Starting in 2005, we continue that tradition by offering Stickley, the premier name in Mission furniture. Traditions Home carries on this tradition of American values in other ways. Our stores are located in historically significant sections of both Overland Park and Wichita, Kansas. In Overland Park, we are located on the historic Santa Fe trail in the Strang Carbarn. This building housing trolley cars, was built in 1906 of native stone. The trolleys served the city of Kansas City and brought city dwellers to the country for a family outing. When first built, it was an era of small family farms. Bi-planes flew overhead, and families enjoyed the beauty of South lake and the prairies.
